The Kenzos are a rock and roll band based in Los Angeles, California. The band is comprised of singer/guitarist Joey James, guitarist Michael Anderson, bassist Alyssa Joy, and drummer Mark Savage. The band produces a gritty sound with an aggressive power which still maintains strong melodies. They are a staple on the southern California live circuit, regularly playing from the Sunset Strip to Orange Co.
All of The Kenzos are transplants to the Los Angeles area, 2 from the East coast and 2 from the Mid West. They blend a range of musical styles and tones, from blues to power pop to punk rock and beyond. Their influnces include artists as diverse, as Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Clash, The Rolling Stones, and Black Sabbath. Although, they might not always sound like these influences, it's always manifested in their attitude, spirit, and outlook.
